A note from the Woodwards...
The
high degree of workmanship and attention to detail, highlighted by Brian's
creative, yet practical designs resulted in terrific renovations to our
main house and our beautiful new guest house.
This
is our 5th house renovation and the 2nd time we've built from scratch,
so we've seen it all. Brian and the crew are the best in the Province!

Exposed 4x10 rafter tails create 5 foot overhangs. This protects the
cedar shingled walls and full 2 inch thick cedar trims from the elements.
This in turn means less maintenance and a house which will withstand
the test of time.
The upper floor boasts a sleeping loft that has ample room for four
beds as well as a full bathroom and reading area which overlooks the
living, dining and kitchen below. The upper windows allow guests to
enjoy the spectacular views of Discovery Passage or see what's happening
around the swimming pool.

A
Torii gate welcomes visitors to the back entrance which is framed by
a craftsman style cedar Pergola. The ocean side and pool are enclosed
by a cedar fence. The fence is unique in that there are no metal fasteners.
The fence is held together using a combination of mortise and tenon,
pegs and dovetail joinery.
