The clients presently reside in Honolulu, Hawaii. Modern channels of communication such as e-mail were utilized extensively in the design and construction process. With the aid of a digital camera and CAD renderings clients are able to review floor plans, change interior color schemes etc; and view the completed house in its desired location before construction begins.

We will enjoy the craftsmanship that has gone into the house for many years to come.

The large covered verandahs allow access to the outdoors during inclement weather.

This house features a state of the art geothermal heating system which will heat the guest house, main house and swimming pool with up to 600% efficiency versus 60-80% efficiency for standard heating systems.

Recycled old growth Fir timbers, a beautiful dry pack granite fireplace and a Western Red Cedar Taiko beam bring warmth and beauty to wide open spaces. These timbers were hand-sanded and treated with a tung oil finish. We feel it is important to let the frame dry until the moisture content is less than 14% before insulating and sealing the building envelope.
